About
Rosie has always loved the water and sharing that passion with others. She grew up scuba-diving from a young age in Papua New Guinea. She later participated in state-level swimming and water polo in Queensland, Australia, and more recently has been active in ocean-swimming groups. She has been a swimming guide for blind athlete, Gerrard Gosens, and participated in his English Channel crossing attempt, as depicted in the 2024 documentary Changing Channels. She regularly guides Gerrard through the surf zone at Gold Coast beaches. Outside of her water and photography pursuits, Rosie works as a paediatric physiotherapist for children with brain injuries. She hopes to encourage more participation of vision-impaired swimmers in ocean swimming, and more generally, to increase awareness of surf safety amongst casual swimmers.
